As wildfire and poor management devastates more and more public lands across the nation, there is a dire need for active forest management. There are 6 projects open to public comment within central Idaho in the Salmon-Challis National Forest. Many of the projects are small and don’t create a large impact to recreation. However, we are continuing to Fight for Every Inch. None of the projects directly limit recreation access and we appreciate the Forest Service not using these projects as an excuse to further the conservation agenda. There is a prescribed burn proposal, two re-routing proposals, samplings, fence construction and a river diversion removal.

You can submit a comment for all 6 projects using our action alert tool and can include your own words and experiences. Comments are due January 31, 2022.
