Del Albright, BRC Ambassador, brings us an important land use message from the sixth-running Griffin King of the Hammers 2012 race in Johnson Valley, California. This year's race was a grueling 165 miles long; the longest to date!

Unfortunately, the future of this recreation area is uncertain. Up to 140,000 of the 180,000 acres of BLM land in Johnson Valley is threatened by a United States Marine Corps expansion of its Air Ground Combat Center at 29 Palms in southern California, to increase its live-fire training facilities.

Watch Del's video below to see how you can help!

Editor's Note: BRC is honored and proud to be associated with the great folks at RCH Designs and Moab Diner in Moab, UT, along with a long list of supporting partners who donated over $5500 to BRC to help keep trails open and our outdoor sports alive - from t-shirt sales!  But very special t-shirts, indeed.  Next time you're in Moab, be sure to stop by Moab Diner and have a great meal, and say thank you to the whole crew.  And next year for Easter Jeep Safari, get your order in early because we think the t's will sell out quick!
