International Snowmobile Safety Week

January 19, 2012 11:33 AM

It's not too late to join the ongoing celebration of International Snowmobile Safety Week.  There are over 10 million people across the United States and Canada who enjoy snowmobiling as a fun and exciting sport. Each January, riders and the industry take time from their busy schedules (between work and having fun) to focus on safety.

The snowmobile manufacturers invite all snowmobilers to participate in the upcoming International Snowmobile Safety Week. Copies of the Safety Week Campaign Action Manual are available from the International Snowmobile Manufacturers Association (ISMA). Just go to the ISMA website and download a Safety Week manual. This manual will aid clubs or snowmobile related businesses in sponsoring safety events, and how to join in on Safety Week.

In addition to the annual International Snowmobile Safety Week, ISMA is continually expanding it's "Safe Rider" campaign to better serve the snowmobiling public. All of the materials for this campaign are readily available through the ISMA office, free of charge.  To obtain an order form, just visit the ISMA website and click on the Safe Riders logo. While you are at the website, you will also be able to obtain a great deal of current information on snowmobiling in general, as well as information on taking part in the upcoming "Take a Friend Snowmobiling Week," to be held on February 11-21,2012.

Today, the manufacturers--along with the snowmobile community--are more involved than ever in making snowmobiling safety a top priority. Please take the time to support International Snowmobile Safety Week January 15th through the 21st of 2012!
