BENECIA, CA (March 7, 2014) -- American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) District 36 member DON AMADOR was named the  Jim Hutzler Award recipient for 2013, and was presented his award at the D36 Rider Awards Banquet recently held in Benicia, CA.

Dave Pickett, D36 Legal Affairs Officer and Past President of D36 said, "Don has shown tireless effort over decades of work on the Off Highway Vehicle front, and has been in the trenches working on our behalf with his representation within the BlueRibbon Coalition."   During the awards ceremony, Dave also talked about Don's involvement with Quiet Warrior Racing and his work on the creation of a Federal Political Action Committee named the "T-PAC" or Trail Pac.

The Jim Hutzler Award is awarded to those showing outstanding contributions to the OHV sport, dedication to the preservation of motorcycling and motorcycle racing, and met the criteria of good will, proactive actions and community involvement. This is the highest award for service presented by District 36 Motorcycle Sports Committee.

When handed the award, Don said he felt like he received the "Congressional Medal of Honor for Motorcycling." BRC's Del Albright was present and noted, "Don was deeply touched by the presentation of this award in front of his family, friends and feelow District members, and Don's wife, Ellen was teary eyed with pride at the announcement."

2012 Hutzler Award Recipient Dave Duffin made the announcement of the winner, and the applause and standing ovation Don received was overwhelming and from the heart.
