Dorothy Gaasch

Dorothy Gaasch, 64, passed away at her home on Monday, January 2, 2006, of natural causes. She was born in Glasgow, Montana, on January 30, 1941, and graduated high school in Hamilton, Montana, in 1959. For most of her life, Dorothy was the account manager for Publishers Paper Company in Toledo and Portland, Oregon. After the decline of the timber industry, she moved home to Dillon, where she took a job as comptroller for Montana Pride, a division of High Mountain Ranches.
At the time of her death, Dorothy was comptroller for Dillon Implement Company, where she worked side by side with her brother, Andy, and nephew, Ryan. In addition, she had provided care and companionship to her mother for the past 20 years.
She believed strongly in keeping our public lands and natural resources open for everybody to use and enjoy in a responsible way. Respecting this, her family has asked that any memorial donations be made to the BlueRibbon Coalition.
