Did you ever look at a product and say, "I should have thought of that?" Well, awhile back, I attended an off-road event where a Blue Devil Product "Trail Pail" was being raffled. As soon as I saw it I said, "Man, I should have thought of that!" and I immediately bought two.

Alan Anderson, owner of Blue Devil Products is selling vehicle spill kits that are specifically designed for the trail, but they are also perfect for the truck or family sedan. This is an awesome idea that has led to an awesome product and I highly recommend it.

Anderson's kits include gloves, super-absorbent sheets, disposable bags and everything else you'll need to contain and absorb a fluid spill. There are also items in the kit to help plug the hole so you can get back without leaking any more fluids. They come in four different sizes to safely handle spills from a motorcycle to a large RV. They are effective for the recovery of gas, oil, hydraulic fluids, coolants and even contaminated water.

Del Albright, BlueRibbon Coalition Ambassador, was actually involved in testing this product on the Rubicon Trail. According to Del, "They work great and leave no trace. They are the best vehicle-spill recovery kits I've ever used."

Containment and cleanup of fluid spills on our trails is important for the environment and that helps preserve the future of our trails. If you have ever been on the trail and busted a line, gouged an oil pan or just broke down and had to drain something to make a repair, you know why I recommend you carry along one of these kits.

In addition to being the responsible thing to have with you on the trail, as it happens, Alan is a BRC member and is committed to protecting recreational access. In support of BlueRibbon Coalition's efforts, Alan donates 5 percent of all Trail Pail Sales to BRC. I say that is one more good reason to purchase your Trail Pail from Blue Devil Products.
