ARIZONA - Tonto NF Extends Comment Period for Travel Management Project DEIS
The Tonto National Forest has announced that the comment period for the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the Travel Management Project, originally scheduled to end on August 18, 2014, has been extended to September 17, 2014. You can review a copy of the DEIS at public libraries in Globe, Cave Creek, Payson, Young, and select Mesa and Phoenix locations or at the Forest Supervisor's Office or Ranger District Offices. WASHINGTON - Olympic NF Seeks Input on Identifying a Sustainable Road System
The Olympic National Forest is hosting three final open houses asking the public to share the areas and roads they use on the Forest. This information will help the Forest identify a financially sustainable road system that meets diverse access needs, minimizes environmental harm, and is safe and dependable because it is scaled to available resources. COLORADO - BLM Begins Public Scoping On Gunnison Sage-Grouse EIS
The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public input to identify conservation measures to protect Gunnison Sage-Grouse within the bird's habitat on federally-managed lands in Colorado and Utah.
