OREGON - Wallowa-Whitman Hosts Public Meeting in Unity, OR

Dear BRC Action Alert Subscriber,

The Wallowa-Whitman National Forest will be hosting a public meeting on May 1, 2014, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at the Community Hall in Unity, Oregon. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss and share information about Forest projects and activities, and general information about the Proposed Revised Land Management Plan and Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS).

The meeting will be hosted by John Laurence, Wallowa-Whitman Forest Supervisor. This is your opportunity as a forest user to voice your comments, concerns and questions about what projects and activities are important to you.

WASHINGTON - Help Save Teanaway Forest
We received an update from Tod Petersen, Political Action Committee Chairman for the Washington Off-Highway Vehicle Alliance (WOHVA), on the Teanaway Community Forest.  Tod Petersen is also Legislative/Land Use Coordinator - Northwest Motorcycle Association.  BRC urges our members to take advantage of this opportunity to submit pro-OHV comments in the flyer below. UTAH - Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forests Seek Public Comment on Draft SEIS
The Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest is seeking public comment on the draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement ("draft SEIS") for the Ogden Ranger District Travel Plan Revision Project. This draft SEIS was initiated in response to a March 20 12 U.S. district court order instructing the Forest Service to address deficiencies in the previous environmental analysis and the 2007 record of decision for travel plan revision on the Ogden Ranger District.
