ARIZONA -  Coronado NF Announces Safford Ranger District Open House

Greetings BRC Action Alert Subscribers,

The Safford Ranger District, Coronado National Forest will conduct a public meeting to discuss ongoing planning and implementation activities, and to provide an avenue for participants to provide feedback on local forest management progress and needs.

Forest personnel will provide updates on items discussed at the previous meeting in March, and updates on accomplishments and changes made since that time. District employees will continue to work to achieve common goals between the Forest Service and the local community for the next six months.

The public meeting will be on November 7, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. It will be held in the main conference room of the Safford Ranger District/Safford Bureau of Land Management Office at 711 14th Avenue in Safford.

Everyone with an interest in National Forest lands is welcome and encouraged to attend.

CALIFORNIA - Plumas NF Announces Proposed Action for Over-Snow Vehicle Use Desig
The Forest Service will prepare an environmental impact statement (EIS) on a proposal to designate over-snow vehicle (OSV) use on roads, trails and areas on lands within the Plumas National Forest. The EIS will also identify snow trails available for grooming on the Forest. Public input on the initial proposed action is encouraged. Designating OSV use on the Forest will ensure over-snow vehicle activity (such as snowmobile riding) is effectively managed to: provide access;
