 KEEP CURRENT WITH THE IRS

It's important for state snowmobile associations and snowmobile clubs to keep their non-profit status current with the IRS. It is much easier for the groups with revenue under $25,000 today than it was in the past. The 990-N e-postcard is available for those organizations.

The IRS has announced that the E-file system will not be available from January 1, 2012 through February 29, 2012 for electronic filing of Forms 990, 990-EZ, and 990-PF returns for non-profits.

The 990-N e-postcard filing system will not be affected by this temporary suspension.

The IRS is granting an extension of time to file to March 30, 2012 to organizations whose due date or first extended due date for returns is January 17,2012 or February 15, 2012.

Be sure your organization is current!

This filing must occur every year!!
